Your guide
I have been holding rooms like this for 14 years.
I am Katie Quinn. I am a medium, a Reiki Master, an IET Master, and an IAPCC Certified Death Doula. Before this work, I ran my own CFO and accounting practice, so I know what it is to walk into a room full of people wondering whether you are about to feel foolish for being there. You are not going to.
In 14 years and roughly 5,000 sessions, a significant portion of my long-term clients first met me in a group room: a friend’s living room, a public demonstration, an event someone else organized and invited them to. They came curious, or skeptical, or simply along with someone they loved. They watched a message land for a person across the room. They recognized something. Some booked a private session that night. Some kept coming to events. Every one of those paths is a real path.
I will not perform. I will not ask anyone in the room to believe anything. I will not single people out, put anyone on the spot, or push for emotional reactions. The room runs on respect for the people in it, including the ones who came specifically to sit in the back and watch.
The work in a group room is, mechanically, the same work I do in a private session. The difference is the field. In a private room, the field is shaped to one person. In a group room, the field is shaped to everyone present, and the messages arrive for whoever they are for. Often the person who needed the message most is not the person who would have expected it.

About receiving a reading
This is the most important thing to know before you attend a Large Group: I cannot promise you will receive a reading. Many people do. Many do not. The messages arrive on their own terms, and I will not invent or force a reading for someone simply because they came hoping for one. That would be dishonest, and it would dishonor the work.
What I can promise is that you will see the work happen, in a room where real messages are landing for real people, and you will leave knowing more than you knew when you walked in. If receiving a personal message is the specific thing you need, a private session is built for that, and a Small Group is the warmer middle path.

What waiting costs.
The curiosity stays a curiosity. The question of whether this work is for you stays unanswered for another year, and another. The loss you have been quietly carrying stays where it has been.
You stay on the outside of a room you have been wondering about. That is not a tragedy. It is just a small, quiet thing that does not have to keep being true.
Testimonial placeholder
Aim for range across both tracks. Per the copy deck: a family or friend group who hosted a Small Group and carried the evening forward together; an attendee who received a reading at a public Live Demonstration and went on to book privately; and an attendee who did not receive a reading but found that witnessing one shifted something in their own grief.
Frequently asked, briefly
Questions about the room.
What is the difference between a Small Group and a Large Group?
A Small Group is private and hosted by you, two to ten of your own people, at $100 per person. A Large Group is a public Live Demonstration you attend (or an event you hire me for), usually thirty to forty people, at $50 per person. Small is your circle in a space you choose. Large is a public room, or an event of your own.
Will I receive a reading?
In a Large Group, maybe. Many people do; I cannot promise. In a Small Group, the room is small enough that messages tend to move through much of it, though it is still not a guarantee for every person. If receiving your own message is the specific thing you need, a private session is the right format.
Can I come with someone?
Yes. People often come to public events in pairs or small groups. Reserve a seat for each person.
Where are events held?
Public events are held at restaurants, event spaces, and halls on the North Shore of Massachusetts, with some travel beyond the region. Small Groups are held wherever you choose. Specific public locations are listed with each event on the events page.
Can I hire you for a fundraiser or a private event?
Yes. Groups bring me in for events of their own. Schedule a conversation and we will settle the date, the place, and the size of the group.
Are group events appropriate for someone in fresh grief?
It depends on the person and the loss. For very fresh, acute grief, a private session is usually the better first step. If you are not sure, schedule a conversation and we can talk it through.
Do you record events?
No. The room is held privately for the people in it, and that privacy is part of why the work can happen there.
The four services are entry points into the same body of work.
- →Start with the Services Overview to see all four doorways side by side.
- →Mediumship for a private session, particularly if you are carrying a specific loss and need a message that is yours.
- →Death Doula Support if someone you love is dying, or you are caring for a family in the time between diagnosis and passing.
- →Truth Readings if the loss you are carrying is not of a person but of a direction, and you have been circling the same question for longer than you would like to admit.
